Jennipher Satterly Kennedy is an American representational painter.  For over two decades, her work has been uniquely defined by a mark making technique that falls nothing short of magic, brought to life by her long-standing love affair with the act of painting itself.  Her work is also lauded for her conscious choice of subject matter, representing a variety of themes both modern and classic, which strives to recognize the visual merits and beauty in everything and everyone she paints.  Jennipher’s painting practice continues to become more pure over time, as she seeks to not merely capture the beauty around her through paint on a canvas, but allow the viewer to better understand that beauty through her marks.

My Inspiration

Like Jackson Pollack, for me painting isn't just a way of life, it is a visceral necessity.

I paint what catches my eye.  I paint the things that I believe deserve more than just another look, rather a sea of exploration.  A moment becomes a journey.

My Media

Archival oil on linen, watercolor, gouache, pencil and pen & ink, as well as various forms of digital.
